In keeping up with the "goals" theme for the month; I decided to blog about God and goals. It's so important that we keep God involved in all of our plans. Do you agree? Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." So before we set goals or make plans, it's important that we consult with God.
Here are a few scriptures to consider regarding this subject:
- Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask and it will be given to you."
- Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
- James 2:17 says, "Faith by itself if it does not have works, is dead."
- Psalm 37:5 says, Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."
- Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength."
- Philippians 3:13-14 says, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
So in summary, we should consult with God. Ask for what we want. Believe that we're going to receive it. Work for it. Trust God. Wait on Him and keep the faith. Goals + God = Good Things.
Be blessed. Until next Thursday, good-bye!!!!!
